Rotary Club Awards $2500 in Community Grants

Pierre/Ft. Pierre Rotary members Tim Bjork and Bob Barden accept a check from Ginger Niemann, Grants Administrator of the South Dakota Community Foundation for the Southeast Community Center Rotary Playground project, which is now completed. Bjork headed the fund raising committee and Barden was overall project director, in this project that included many community sponsors, individual donors, and Rotarians donating hundreds of hours of labor.

Kids Safe Saturday
Rotary members helped fit bike helmets that were given to
the kids.
The Fire Department was also on hand to help kids plan
escape routes and know how to escape a burning building.
